Why Wholistic exists
Wholistic was born out of the profound realisation of the dire need for emotional coping mechanisms in our society. Having worked in a mental health clinic, witnessing the guilt and hopelessness faced by individuals struggling to cope with life's changes, I knew there had to be a different approach.
Over the years, couples work has become the heart of this practice — premarital counselling especially. But I've never stopped doing individual work, and I don't intend to. Often they're the same work, approached from different sides.
What I've learnt is that talking matters enormously — and that most people also want something to hold onto when they walk away. So my sessions do both: space to be properly heard, and something practical to take with you into the week ahead.
I understand the weight of indecision, the frustration of feeling stuck, and the struggle to express emotions freely. Like you, I have felt the burden of suppressing myself, navigating life's uncertainties with anxiety. It is precisely these experiences that have driven me to create a space where you can find solace, support, and meaningful help without judgment or stigma.
How I work

If you live with a mental health condition, you've probably been told a great deal about your limits and very little about your possibilities. I don't believe a diagnosis decides what your life is allowed to look like.
What I've found is that a fulfilling life usually isn't on the other side of some enormous transformation. It's on the other side of a handful of well-chosen adjustments. Together we find the ones that fit your life, your condition, and the people in it — so that you can live fully rather than carefully.
As a Registered Counsellor, I do not diagnose or treat mental health disorders. I work alongside your treating professionals to help you build a life that works around a condition already being managed.
You can love someone and feel lonely with them. You can want to leave and want to stay. You can be doing well and still be tired of holding it together.
None of that makes you inconsistent. It makes you a person. Most of the frameworks we're handed ask us to pick one truth and discard the rest — and that's usually where the stuckness starts.
I'm not here to sort you into a type. I'm here to help you hold everything that's true at once, and find your way forward from there.

Whatever brought you here, we can work through it together — one 60-minute session at a time, online, wherever you are.
For when your body reacts before your mind gets a say. We work on what's driving it and what to do in the moment it arrives.
Space to put something down that you've been carrying alone, at whatever pace you need.
Anger is information. We work out what yours is telling you, and how to express it without damage.
Grief work is not about moving on or letting go. It's about finding a way to carry someone with you — honouring who they were while making room for how much their absence hurts.
For the version of you that exists during and after a marriage ends. Support through the practical upheaval, the identity shift, and the grief that nobody quite acknowledges as grief.
I've been an entrepreneur my whole life, so I know this pressure from the inside — the loneliness of the decisions, the way the business becomes indistinguishable from you, the guilt of resting.
For feeling stuck, flat, or unsure what comes next — and for building a life that fits around a condition you already manage.
Couples often arrive expecting me to decide who's right. I don't work that way. There's a third entity in the room — the relationship itself — and that's whose side I'm on.
The work that has become the heart of this practice. Before you sign anything, we go through the conversations most couples only have years too late — money, family, expectations, conflict, intimacy.
Also available as a retreat.
For long-term and short-term partners who aren't married. Often couples standing in front of a significant decision together while something between them isn't working. Different terrain to marriage, and it needs its own approach.
For couples who are legally married. Marriage carries layers that dating doesn't — legal, financial, familial — and those layers change what's at stake in every conversation. I work with that reality rather than around it.
Your first session is free — no financial commitment, no obligation to book a second.
The difference
Counselling wherever you are
Sessions happen online, from home, your office, or anywhere private — no travel, no waiting room, no sitting in a car park before your appointment.
All sessions take place during regular working hours.
A counsellor who knows this territory
I'm an HPCSA Registered Counsellor with a practice built around individual and relationship work.
You'll see me every session — not a rotating team, not a matching algorithm. Just someone who gets to know your story properly.
Insight, and something to do with it
We talk without rushing, and you leave with something usable — a tool, a task, a different way of saying the difficult thing.
The change happens between sessions as much as in them.
No judgment, no boxes
A space where you don't have to present a tidy version of yourself, and where nothing you say will be used to sort you into a category.
Getting started
Step 1
Choose a time that fits your week. No payment, no commitment beyond showing up.
Step 2
You tell me what brought you here. I listen, ask, and we get clear on what you actually want to be different. If you're coming as a couple, both of you get heard.
Step 3
Every session ends with something concrete to take into your week. Over time, those small adjustments become the change you came for.
From the blog
You want to be close to someone — really close. And then they get close, and something in you panics. You pick a fight over nothing. You go quiet for three days.
